While working on a new batch of portraits at MassArt, I listened to Neil Young's music on Youtube. I began to sing along while taking the last sips of my frapuccino from its bottle. A note of my singing went into the bottle, and I got a thrill out of capturing a bit of beautiful song in glass. It brought up the possibility of adding this element to future installations. The energy is in the bottle and on the objects I install, and my experience of the music is also in the bottle. Neil Young's music is in the bottle. To gift these collective energies to the world as I install my work is a peak experience for me as an artist.
Reiki has also a big part of my installation process; in order to ensure that good energy surrounds the work I install, I give it an extra boost of reiki. Imagine the lovely feel of reiki and music combined?
This is a powerful discovery.
